Seven Northwell hospitals also earned top-50 national rankings across 30 medical specialties, including Northern Westchester Hospital receiving its first ever ranking, and nine hospitals ranked among the best in the state. In this year’s national rankings, the clinical excellence of NSUH, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, Huntington Hospital, Glen Cove Hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital, and Plainview Hospital were recognized from among more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide that were analyzed as part of the survey, which is now in its 35th year. - Lenox Hill Hospital earned top 50 status in six specialties: Cardiology, heart and vascular (14th); Geriatrics (23rd); Pulmonology and lung surgery (31st – tied); Obstetrics & Gynecology (33rd); Ear, nose & throat (34th); Neurology and neurosurgery (49th – tied).
- Huntington Hospital earned top 50 status in three specialties: Diabetes & endocrinology (26th); Pulmonology & lung surgery (30th); Geriatrics (31st).
- Glen Cove Hospital earned top 50 status in rehabilitation (24th – tied).
- Northern Westchester Hospital earned top 50 status in pulmonology & lung surgery (46th).
